I’ve never heard of a screenshot saving as a video file. What exactly do you mean? I suspect you’re mistaken.

Sure you aren't doing a screen recording by mistake? Never had a screen shot save as video.

I have Saturdays gym statts from Apple Watch
Tried saving a screenshot from iphone8 to post to macrumours
When I select the screenshot it shows 1 video selected think its mpv4 or similar.
Is the red record button via iphone the screenshot recording button or is it possible I've recorded a video screenshot rather than a photo
Either way it sound like user error i.e.me
The file is far too big to post to mac rumours.

Found it I was recording a video screenshot via red record button.
Since pressed side button+home button to snap a screenshot photo.
E.g. attached though it's for Apple Watch thread.

I think you're recording your screen not taking a screenshot.

To take a screenshot you press home + power button together.

Exactly as you mentioned
I though the red record button was screenshot recording
Anyway watch since in find. My watch via iPhone 8 as lost since home from gym yesterday :

One 7 a.m. iPhone 8 call to Gym where I last seen my Apple Watch
As I enjoyed some stats via iphone last night before I notice I didn't;t have my watch home with me
2nd call to gym today via iPhone 8/Clio mmedianavtech bluetooth whilst driving -nice lady commented my watch had been found and handed in by a cleaner.
Drove straight to gym avoiding going straight home.
Amazing since got my watch home.
Funny as I missed this little device.
