Screenshots issue on OS10.10.1

I'm having a weird issue where, when I take screen snapshots (i.e. SHIFT-ALT-4 to lassoo an area and make a .png file): The file never goes to my desktop. In fact it seems to just disappear. Same goes for entire screenshots.

I can sometimes find it when I then go 'search....png) but I still don't know what's happened. It seems to somehow be 'hidden' on my desktop. Once I managed to get the screenshots to appear by resizing my desktop icons, but since then, no luck.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm on the New Mac Pro (Dec 2013). 12-Core, 64GB RAM

10.10.2 is out, you should upgrade to that .1 had lots of issues, .2 aint perfect either lol

Do you have dropbox installed? It moves all screenshots from the desktop to its screenshots folder.

Only if you let it. Preferences > Import.
