i screwed up my whole keyboard, i fixed everything but f3. ill try to explain this the best i can.

say i have safari and finder open. i click f3 they jump to the side of my screen out of site.

it used to just make the safari and finder smaller so i could click on the one i wanted to choose. please let me know how to fix this. thanks

just found another problem. i had just opened finder with my safari up instead of just "stacking" them it made the safari disapear completely. how do i get this back as well

It sounds like F3 is set to show desktop and the other button is set to Exposé. Go into System Preferences and change the settings for Exposé to be whatever function keys you want.
