script editor and isync not launching?

both apps, script editor and isync, now have the generic app icon, and they close instantaneously after 'launching' them.

i've tried these methods for isync, but both didn't work:

i've also tried dragging isync to the desktop and back to the apps folder, but that didn't help too.

any idea?

You may want to use pacifist to fix the issue (put in your OSX install CD and extract iSync.app) with iSync…

I remember putting a phone plugin in the wrong directory of the iSync package contents once and it corrupted the program - that's what I did to fix it.

As for the script editor issue, I'm clueless there. Maybe pacifist for that as well?

apple should consider a more robust "software update", which fixes such app corruption.
