I picked up a 2018 Mac Mini just after the new year, along with a DELL P2719HC Display.

All seemed good with the HDML, but when I swapped over to USB C i noticed ghosting when I scroll (much more visible with text on dark backgrounds). Video sometimes doesn't seem to render well - it doesn't ghost, more seems to struggle with movement and close matching colours.

Any ideas if i have a duff monitor / cable? (or mac-mini), and what i might do to stop the problem?

ghosting is caused by the screen itself. I have a Dell UP3216Q monitor myself and it also has scroll ghosting. It’s very subtile to the point that you can hardly percieve it, but it gave me enormous migraines. I upgraded to an LG 5K and gone are the headaches. My wife now uses the Dell but she’s fine. All depend on your use case.

Thanks, its odd that it does it through USB C, but not with HDMI, but its good to know its the monitor, as it was not super pricy.
