I'm using Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and Mac OS X Tiger and there seem to be a problem with the scrolling. Each time after reboot, the vertical scrolling speed changes and I have to use the IntelliMouse software to either slow it down or make it faster.

Any idea how to fix this?

You can choose not to use the MS software to control the mouse. I had the same problem and that seemed to solve it.

Yes, I know - that indeed solves the problem but this mouse has 2 extra buttons which won't work without the Intellimouse software and I use them all the time. It'll also require me to use the Mac OS X mouse tracking acceleration which I hate.

Maybe there's a freeware app which can disable the tracking acceleration and map these 2 buttons?

Anyway, thanks for your reply!
