Well just watched the season finale of Scrubs. Who else saw it? What did you think. I thought it was nice how it ended like any other episode, although i wish it kinda made it seem like the end. Well, what does everyone else think?

The idea behind ending the series like a normal episode is kind of nice. Everyone knows that even when you stop watching, the characters continue to live their lives without you, so why end it in some massive way, with some massive incident? Tomorrow, the day after the series finale, the characters' lives will still continue on. The characters don't have to split up, move on, die, or anything else. It's nice to believe that the hi-jinx still continue, but without you watching. Maybe it'll continue for the rest of their lives.

I haven't watched the show in age, but if that's the way they ended the show, then good for them.

Did it pick up then?

I lost interest after watching the first few episodes of season six, and not finding a single moment funny. In the slightest.

If it ended on a high, I'd be tempted to pick it back up, and see it out - as it was a great show.

I wouldn't say that this was the funniest season, but it was a good season. It'd be worth it to pick it up again i think. And yes, this last episode was like a fairy tale. Directed by Zach Braff so you atleast know it was directed well :p.

this wasn't the series finale. Scrubs has been picked up by ABC in the US for an eighth season that will, according to Bill Lawrence, focus more on the drama similar to the first couple of seasons.

Whilst NBC has been airing the show, ABC actually did the production so its good news that Scrubs will be back later on. I believe 18 eps have been ordered.

Thats Zach's blog, for anyone interested.

I was wondering what he meant when he said it was the last season on NBC, but I also remember him saying they were splitting up because they all had work that needed to be done. I was actually looking forward to Zach starting his next movie, but i guess its good, cause i really liked Scrubs. We'll see how it works out...

Oh thank GOD. I thought that last episode was truly awful. I would have been so pissed had such a great series ended that way.

I didn't think it was that bad, just not what people would ahve been used to for a finale...On the other hand, the janitors name wasn't mentioned so therefore i guess it wasn't the last episode...

I have a thread on this about ABC renewing the show. I don't think this was the true finally written anyways, probably meant as a mid season when the strike hit.

Considering that 12 episodes were actually produced I wonder what happened to the "real" season finale.

My Princess was also meant to be the seventh episode of this season - did anybody see the problem in continuity? Kelso was still there?

Yes, I noticed that and it confused the hell outta me, although i thought i just missed last weeks episode (which i did, but then later watched). But it just seems weird that they would allow that...

That episode was awful. We couldn't even sit through the whole thing. And we're fans of the show.

Why was Kelso still there? Was last week's episode supposed to be the season finale, and they changed the order?

Anyone care to explain why Kelso came back? I don't think i missed an episode, but i remember him leaving on "his" terms at the end of an episode.

The season was cut short due to the strike, so they didn't get a chance to end the series like they wanted to. I guess they switched around the two last episodes they managed to get made since it would have been odd having the finale focus so much on Kelso and not the real main characters.

It was aired out of order.

This was supposed to be episode 9 of the season and there were originally 16 episodes ordered but only 11 were filmed. Episode 12 which was supposed to be finale after the strike was produced - not sure if it was filmed but there will be an eighth season on the US network ABC.

Bill Lawrence, the series' creator has signed a 4 year deal with ABC, part of which includes the eighth season of Scrubs.

That was confusing, but yeah, everything was out of order. I thought it was good. The ending was great. Especially that last line. Too bad they couldn't have fixed things somehow and really made that the last episode. Within continuity is would have been really good.

I was kind of disappointed with that episode. I'm glad it's not the last one. I really don't care for these 'themed' episodes. This one at least I could sit through; the one they did last season where the whole episode was a musical, I got through about 5 minutes and turned it off. Stop trying so damned hard and just make it funny!

I LOVED the 'My Musical' episode, I have no idea why, but it struck a chord (boom boom) with me :)

But yeah, it was an OK episode, the Kelso thing confused me. I thought it was deliberate and some extravagant explanation was coming later in the episode, which clearly didn't happen...

Scrubs Finale

I was extremely dissapointed by the scrubs finale.(If it actually is the series finale). It has left too many questions unanswered. One of the things I was looking forward to was the true stor of the janitor. I think they should not have treated this just like any other episode. The fairy tale theme would have been a cool twist such as the Musical episode or the soap opera episode, but it was certainly not appropriate here. I think the worst Part about this whole episode is how it left off w/ JD and Elliot. We are led to believe they are not together, but because the story ends as a fairy tale it is hard to decifer between the fiction of the fairy tale and what is actually going on.
Overall, Terrible!

I thought the finale was awful, honestly.

I liked the first couple seasons, lost interest, I started watching it after the office again and liked it... but wow. I wasn't digging the fairy tale crap at all.
