Hi all.
Looking for a bit of advice around SCSI. For many years, I’ve run G4/G5/Mac pro towers at home with a SCSI card in to read contents from DDS drives.
For ‘reasons’, having towers knocking about is no longer an option until I live somewhere bigger so I’ve put all my towers in storage.
I got a Lombard G3s to pick up the work, and a HDI 30 pin to centronics to connect to the same drive I’d been using all this time. However, it doesn’t seem to work at all. Strangely, the drive does respond to the machine powering on/waking from sleep (it begins to read the tape), so something is happening.
I’ve got an active terminator on the tape drive.
I know SCSI is a bit of a dark art so any advice would be welcome. As I say, my drive and setup were working just fine until trying to move it onto the G3 Lombard.
