SD Card formatting not happening, help!

Im trying to format a SD card 32GB and I get this error.
See attached.
What to do ?

In Disk Utility try File>Unmount before you format. Seems to have worked for me in the past.

There is no option to unmount.
I only see eject option.

Should be located in the menu bar as shown below.

It appears in the File menu in El Capitan if you have the mounted disk selected.
