Just in the last couple of days or so, when I insert an SD card it is not showing up on Finder. I have tried all the usual repairs (file permissions etc). The SD card reader does show on System Profiler and the card itself also shows up there. I have tried restarting Finder in Terminal (Killall Finder) with no improvement.
Sadly you cannot start Yosemite in safe mode (or I have not found out how). The card reader does not show up for a guest user either.
Any ideas guys?

Should have said I have also run Kext Utility App with no improvement.
