Anyone know of a speed tester for SD cards? Found plenty for the PC platform. None yet for mac.

yea, that was the first thing I thought of as well. But when you set it to the SD card, you can no longer press the "start" button.

Then what about copying a big-arse file via Finder back and forth and monitoring the transfer rate via Activity Monitor > Disk Activity? Maybe even an older version of iStat Menus can help, as it lists all the mounted volumes in its Disk Activity drop down thing. Or you could try XBench, it lets you select which volumes to test.

I came across this one as well...

New version 3.0.1 is availalbe. Provides options to disable Spotlight search and/or Spotlight data, which sometimes can slow down your SD cards and fill up some space.
