Does anyone know how the Volume (or File System) UUID is generated for exFAT file systems on SD cards (when mounted under MacOS or iOS)?
On a Mac the Volume UUID is shown using the Disk Utility (or the "diskutil info" command).
On an iPhone or iPad it forms part of the mount point when the card is read using a USB card reader.
It seems to be the same value for all cards formatted on a specific camera but I'm not sure if it is camera specific.
The popular LLMs give confusing answers.
