The new SDXC cards (e.g. 64GB from Panasonic) do not work properly on the new MBP i5. There are also some explainations in this forum. Fact is that it´s possible to format SDXC cards with the disc utility, but then it´s not possible to put them in the camcorder (e.g. HDC-SD707 from Panasonic) and you have to reformat them. In case that you format the card on the camcorder, the MBP is not able to detect the card. You have the choice between Pest (Black Death) or Cholera.
Has anybody an idea whether it is expectable that a kind of SDXC patch will be provided by Apple? Is there any utility available to bypass the problem?
