Apple estimates my daily SoT at 2h. Will the SE2 be capable of getting me from 10am to 10pm without re-charging?

I dont play games and use facebook only in safari.

Yes you will get a day no problem. It will be interesting to see real world battery life once people get the phone in hands. My guess is it’s better than the claims, similar to the original SE.

Oof, I have some issues then

Well, it depends. Do you also use your laptop/pc for several hours a day? Then that's a problem I guess.

With 2h a day every phone since the 90ies would be sufficient
To be honest my old iPhone 6 would barely get me through the day even with 94% capacity. Maybe there was something wrong with it, idk. 1820mah is really not that much anyways.

Let's be honest, iPhone 7 battery is tragic, even brand new. I haven't had great experiences with batteries below 2000mah.

Back when it was brand new, I only needed to charge the 4.7" iPhone 7 every other day. Battery life was definitely improved over the iPhone 6 it replaced.

I'm a light iPhone user but I did log around 2 hours SoT at ~10-20% brightness daily on the 7 (Safari, iMessage, camera, weather, sudoku).

I went from OG iPhone > 3GS > 4 > 4S > 5 > 5s > 6+ > 6 > 7

Barring the 6+, the 7 had the best battery life I've had on an iPhone (at least before the battery degraded).

You only used the phone for 2 hours a day at extremely low brightness. You’re far from the normal user. Most people I know who use their 7/8 a good deal at a more normal brightness can not make it much longer than middle of the day or dinner before needing to charge. Surely couldn’t use the phone all day on a Friday at work and then go out without charging it.

Even though I am a light user, I purchased a Apple battery case just in case I should need it.

I did mention that I was a light iPhone user in my post. OP seems to be, too, since he mentioned 2 hours daily SoT.

For that, the SE2 should be fine.

Even the 6+ couldn't match my iPad battery with same usage and I found it a lot more awkward to use while juggling groceries, etc, so I've pretty much given up on going phone only. Plus, I've come to appreciate having the much bigger display on the iPad.

Apple rats it similar to iPhone 8, it may be underselling given the efficiency of the A13, but if they say its the same as iPhone 8 which was similar/same as iPhone 7, then keep your expectations there and be pleased if they are surpassed
