SE or Series 8

I'm contemplating getting an apple watch but stuck between series 8 or SE. Are there watchfaces available on the series 8 that the SE doesn't have? I don't care about any of the health functions, other than step counting, so I don't care about those differences. Are there any others?

Yes,Contour for example is not on the SE.

But if you are not wanting EKG, temperature sensor, or any of the other features then the SE is great value.

No EKG, no blood ox, no temperature sensing, no always on display, missing a couple of watch faces, and slower charging.

Most notable difference is the always on display, which isn't on the SE. If you don't care about that or the few extra health monitoring features then SE probably makes the most sense.

Yes, AOD has surprisingly little impact on battery life. I use an automation to turn mine off during the night. As you can see on the graph, there is no significant difference in battery consumption during the night.
