I have an iPhone SE that all of a sudden says "No SIM" when I try to set it up. I used it daily for about a year until I got a 7 Plus. It was taken good care of. I'm trying to set it up for use over WiFi for my younger cousin. I can't set it up without the sim! I've tried many SIM cards, but none work. The phone is still under warranty, but before I send it off, does anybody have any suggestions?

Put an unused sim in it, set it up, then pull it out.

Worst case, buy a prepaid sim and let it expire. These run about $10, so not a real investment.

Please read the post before replying. They already tried a few different SIMs and the phone is not detecting them.

Where’s the original sim card that came with the phone? If it’s in the 7+, remove it and put it in the SE and see if it works. Eyoungren has a good point about using a sim from the network that the phone was originally setup on..
