    Hi guys,
Am pretty new to the macbook so pardon me. I bought me a logitech 4-port USB2.0 hub today and hooked up both my Seagate Freeagent 3.5" Hard disk to it. Initially everything worked fine. But as i was backing u some files between the 2 Hard Disk it suddenly hanged on me and i had to force a shutdown on the Mac. After the restart both my drives refuse to work thru the USB hubs. But when i connect it directly to the my macbook it work. The lights on my drives are turn on when connected thru the hub but it does not show up on my macbook. I doubt its a power issue with the hubs as both drives have their own power source.

Has anyone encountered anything similar. Its driving me a little nuts.
    Thanks for any help rendered!

    Melvin

Do other drives or devices still work through the hub? What if you use different ports on the hub? It's possible that something got fried to cause the initial failure.

Damnit! manage to isolate the problem. Faulty USB port on my brand new macbook. Now thats something i wasn't expecting but at least its just a hardware problem.
