Seagate Hard Drive Issues

Does anyone know if the Seagate hard drive problems are affecting the newly released Santa Rosa MacBooks? I was about to purchase the base model MacBook today, but upon hearing about the Seagate problem, I deferred.

Seagate Hard Drive Issues

I have had problems with Seagate drives before.

That caused me a number of years ago to switch to Hitachi Travel Star HDDs.

I have never had a problem with an Hitachi drive.
