Hola - have an older MBP (15" - from 2008 @ 2.4GHz) that I want to upgrade to the Seagate ST9500420AS. Do the issues around the 7200 RPM drives concern me, or only the newer MBP's?

    TIA,

    -kris

Never heard of any issues in the older MBPs....well, at least none that were the laptop's fault. The drive itself has a reputation that is....not so solid. I find it hilarious you put "RMA" instead of "RPM" in the title. A sign of things to come? :p

I've got that drive in my 2006 first generation macbook pro and it runs like a charm. Quiet and vibration free.
