It's really unfair how Apple won't let you listen to anything else until you listen to their forced daily rap playlist. It's so sadistic.
Go to browse and tell me they don't push rap. What's your problem? Scratch that idc what your problem is. I never said anything about forced, I said they shovel the crap in everyone's face and it's true. Sorry it upsets you. Feel free to listen to computer generated noise and talking, I prefer instruments and singing.

Fact is, you have to search for anything that's not drake.

How exactly are you 'forced' to listen to a daily rap playlist?
This person is just being a drama queen, he/she is butt hurt not everyone wants to see only rap every time they open Apple Music.

Apple doesn't have to "push" rap. The collective billions of dollars people spend on hip-hop all over the world is influential enough. (Types this while listening to Travis Scott on  music)

Lol at this comment and this whole thread. I'll watch it. Don't take everything so seriously.
It was a serious question. I want to know why this is the only genre that is pushed in Apple Music.

You are talking about my comment so quote me and we can discuss. I never said you couldn't listen to other genres, I said you have to search for anything that is not drake. My initial comment was a question as to why that is.

Maybe I should rephrase my question...why is Apple Music not a personalized experience?

They are so embarrassingly bad when it comes to the "Zeitgeist" of the youth and what is popular at the very moment. E. g. using the word "fresh" in their music keynote last year, U2 and car pool karaoke coming out a year too late.

Are you being sarcastic? He is the one that coined the phrase before Taylor was even a star. You have to be kidding.
Are you being sarcastic? P. Diddy's rise to fame was basically ripping off other people's success. He may have well as stolen that phrase as well.
[doublepost=1493351506][/doublepost]Figures, the company that legitimized music piracy joining forces with the man who practically made a living off it.

What market is Apple trying to access ?

$$$$$$$$. If Beats could sell absolute garbage headphones in the beginning for ridiculous prices....apple want some of that $$$$$, taking candy from a baby :)

At least thier headphones have improved by a large margin, sound quality that is, still easy over priced, but they sell...so perfect market to aim at

Why is the only music genre Apple shovels in people's faces rap?

Probably not. I own beats and can't stand crap music, I mean rap.
I doubt this will be about his music. It might feature his music but it sounds like the story of his record label from his perspective. I don’t listen or much care for Rap, R&B, or Hip Hop but as someone who grew up in the 90’s I’m somewhat interested and will most likely watch it seeing as how I already pay for Apple Music anyway. I’m not complaining about more content.

I didn't mean to complain about the content I just want to know why Apple seems to only care about rap/hip-hop. I'm also a child of the 90s but come on, rap is not the only genre and if there is another service that costs the same but doesn't push rap, I want to know about it. Go to the browse tab, it's littered with music I'm not even interested in and I want to know why.

Conspiracy theories now? I remember Apple pushing U2 a lot. As far as rap music is concerned, it is a commodity (I don't care much for it either), but it's easy to mass produce and it sells, and the world of rap music is all about materialism so, there you go.

Conspiracy(your words)? Absolutely, there are more than 1 person who decides to showcase rap more than any other genre. Stop getting upset about the genre I just want to know why Apple pushes any genre over the next.

Apple pushed u2 1 time as a free album and that didn't work well for them either. They are going to drive another segment of the market away because they think rap is more important than any other genre.

All they really need to do is ask what types of music I'm into and only show me that. Problem solved

I never implied there was a conspiracy to have rap take over the music industry. You have put words into my mouth just like the last 3 folks.

"the world of rap music is all about materialism so, there you go." So Apple decided that was what everyone wants when browsing for new music?

I guess asking questions on a rap article is the wrong place to do so. My bad

I can't tell whether you're validating my comment here or not. And I'll get upset over whatever I want. You're the one bitching about Apple pushing rap when it isn't even necessarily what's going on. You take one example and blow it out of proportion.

For future reference, when you go to the iTunes Store, there's a somewhat obscure section of the menu called "genres", there you could find other music besides rap, from beatnik music to classical to gimp goth. You just have to be a little inquisitive.

Yesssss. Siri I've been cheating on you with Alexa. I need your home cooked meals.

FYI, e-sports and sports are two different things.
They're both competitive, spectated events, just because you're not breaking a sweat in one of them doesn't make it any less a sport. Hunting is considered a sport, I doubt you'll find many people argue that even though all it involves is riding around in a jeep and pulling a trigger.

Preaching to the choir, man ... Preaching to the choir.

Your response disregards the context of my first response. Look at how the word "sports" was used in the post to which I was replying.
