search file type for ODS not working

hi. In finder I try to find .ods (open office spread sheet) files on my mac. I do kind: ods and nothing shows up.

but I have tons of ods files. the same with kind: odt or kind: pdf e.g. works and shows all files

any idea why? thanks

Have you tried searching using the free "EasyFind" ???

apps.tempel.org

Try one or BOTH of those.
