    Hiya All,
Just about to order a 3.06 with the 4850 and can anyone tell me if I can extend the display to run across a second monitor or does it just mirror the main display?
    Thanks

    You can extend and mirror.

You can extend the screen onto a second monitor. I tried it with my old 22" and it worked fine.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply - that's really good news. I'm going to get in my order in tomorrow.

Hey earthling, what second monitor are you going to get?

I'm thinking about the Apple 24" ACD or Dell 2408WFP

The Dell is particularly nice, but they will both be massive!

I just picked up a 2nd 2408WFP at work (for use on a dell PC) - it looks fantastic, plus I love all of the I/O ports so I can hookup other devices to it. The versatility of it is why I like it, but I admit the 24" cinema display looks really nice :)

I just picked up the 24 in cinema display and it's a beauty. You won't regret it.

Remember to buy the appropriate Mini DisplayPort adapter...

Yeah thats why i want the Dell, can connect PS3 and whole host of other stuff

but, then again there is that thing of beauty and with my education discount the price difference between both displays is not that much and after VESA mounting the Apple Display to my wall it will look really really nice

Decisions Decisions ... how is one supposed to choose :D
