Apple today provided the second beta of an upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.3 update to developers for testing purposes, with the update coming four weeks after the launch of the first beta.

Developers can download the macOS Tahoe 26.3 update by opening up the System Settings app, selecting the General category, and then choosing Software Update. Beta Updates will need to be enabled, and a free developer account is required.

There's no word yet on what's included in macOS Tahoe 26.3, and no new features were found in the first beta.

We'll likely see Apple release macOS Tahoe 26.3 at the end of January given past launch timelines.

Still seeing only updates to 15 Sequoia. That’s because when I signed up for the beta channel I turned off any updates to 26.

Seeing as how v26 is the beta itself, I’ll keep tracking the news on MacRumors until Apple releases v27.1 at the end of the year. By then v26 will finally be out of beta. Hopefully.

Not sure if this is a regression or not...

It appears that the requirement to ssh into the Mac after an upgrade or reboot before screen sharing is made available is gone.

It is simply amazing - we are at 26.3 beta2 and Apple still could not fix that annoying Dock Folder jump issue.

(when Dock Magnification is enabled, the Dock Folder abruptly jumps approx 10-15pixels as the user moves the cursor).

That's normal...?
Hmm. What do you mean it's normal - did you check the video? After opening the Folder, the instant one moves the mouse the whole folder just jumps left and down by about 10-15 pixels. This is clearly some kind of positioning bug and only happens when Dock icon magnification is enabled (this is why probably the engineers working on it missed it). Maybe it was not obvious due to the cropping of the previous video, so I made an other one.

I just wish Apple fixed this. Since I am used to have my Applications folder in the Dock (since some ancient macOS release), I see this bug about 1000 times a day. It's the single most annoying thing in macOS Tahoe imho.

I hope they are fixing Safari, it has been a disaster under Tahoe.
Open tabs just disappear, X keeps refreshing for memory issues that never ever happened before. The rounded tabs look much worse than the squared off tabs, IMO, but I know that won't change.

I can confirm that this is reproducible on my M1 MBP, running 26.2. With this modestly sized display, I either never noticed, or gave it much thought.

Since you are on the beta channel, have you used Feedback to file a ticket (or seen if there is one)?

Oof that would drive me crazy if I used magnification. I would turn it off if I were you until it’s fixed, make sure to file a bug report though! Apple is really losing the attention to detail they used to be known for :/

Of course, I filed a feedback (FB20761846 in case somebody at Apple reads this) about the problem with a detailed description, properly categorizing it as a Dock issue + provided a video as well in the FB. All this in October, 2025. To be honest, I feel somewhat stupid whenever I file a feedback like this as most of the time nothing happens with them. :)

I could of course turn Dock magnification off and forget about the problem - but for me Dock magnification is a bit emotional - I found it super cool back in the day (PPC era) and was one of the reasons why I was drawn to the Mac, without it macOS just feels wrong to me. To turn it off or to switch to Launchpad Spotlight Apps would require me to undo decades of brain wiring. ;)

I upgraded my wife’s computer to Tahoe from Sierra and her email program last one of its accounts. I tried to reinstall it, but it kept locking up so I called Apple tech-support. After a half an hour of troubleshooting with the tech support person he told me that Tahoe only supports one iCloud address for mail so I couldn’t use both her iCloud accounts for mail. I had to restore the computer and put it back to Tahoe. That was fun.
