Kill this Disaster called Tahoe and start over!

Shame on Apple for releasing such a POS.

Tahoe works fine in general. No problems at all. This BETA seems to have some changes that are not final or need adjustments by the apps. That could happen.

Like others on here I've had internet connectivity problems with Safari (but not Chrome) since installing Beta2. I have Malwarebytes installed on my M3 iMac and have found that turning off the following has restored connectivity:
System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Extensions and turned off Malwarebytes Security Extension.
Hopefully that fixes it for others with the problem that have Malwarebytes installed.

Edit: For me it seems it's the Real Time Web Protection in Malwarebytes that is the problem - turn that off and everything seems to work again. I guess we'll need an update to Malwarebytes pdq.

Yep. I already commented that I was unable to update successfully on either of my Macs. That's the exact message I'm seeing as well.

I’m still having this issue too. I thought it might have something to do with Rosetta, but after removing it I’m still having the issue.

Apple just released another update to OS26.4 and I'd be interested if it allows writing to the external drives that plagued the previous update. The only other issue I experienced was with Mail and Messages in 26.2, the items marked as spam and blocked resulted in a spinning ball for eternity. I installed the Developers Beta yesterday and it restored the ability to backup my work on my G-Tech drives, the life of a freelancer.

If Apple feel like they need more maintenance time they can jettison Liquid Glass and revert to the previous UI, which will free up plenty.
Why must Apple insist upon changing the Mac interface to mimic an iOS device interface? Must be all the early Apple Mac OS developers have retired, leaving the "store" to the iPhone programmers and their iPhone interface familiarity - "just got to change the Mac to look like an iPhone," don't you know.

More to the point - Apple could allow the Mac end-user the option of selecting and older Mac interface design when setting up the Mac - Snow Leopard would be good, but High Sierra is doable.

Took me quite a while to acclimate to parameter adjustment locations within the newer Mac OS renditions - Mac OS setup selections were all over the place and sometimes difficult to find - iOS-like in its implementation, but not at all up to the expected Mac OS user interface standards - compared to the user simplicity found in the "Control Panel" interface concept of Snow Leopard (10.6.8), for instance.

"But what about newer functions/features/concepts that don't exist in Snow Leopard," you say?

Add additional, clearly labeled old-style-looking control panel buttons/selections for new capabilities/features, and create additional control panel sub-categories, as needed - while leaving the old control panel items labeled the same, located in the same sub-categories, and in their expected location/order within the control panel interface.

Not so hard to grok - instead, Apple gets wonky with look-and-feel ideas that have no practical use, per se.

Another Mac interface item that is problematic in the newer Mac OSs - the outlines around window boxes are simply too thin and gray-looking, making it difficult for the older eyes to distinguish where the top window stops, and the underlying window begins. Such a basic Mac interface design flub - another parameter that should be user selectable.

Geezer

Regarding the Tahoe versus Sequoia Mac OS - I have not, and will not, upgrade to Tahoe until I am convinced that it is bullet-proof.

Have M4 Mac Minis, M1 Air, M1 Mac Mini all running Sequoia just fine - no real complaints, whatsoever.

Judging by some of the MacRumors comments, Tahoe may never be fully ironed-out before Apple transitions to Mac OS 27.

Meanwhile, Sequoia will continue to work JUST FINE.

This is by farmost the worst and buggiest beta i have ever tested. Finder crashes, copy jobs not finishing with error 8000 and 1000000, icloud not syncing. Do not install unless you have to.
