I have two Asus Pro art monitors connected to my new M4 Mac Mini. Even though I switch it off manually when I don't want it to come on, the second monitor wakes up when the system backs up or whatever and the screen goes blue. I couldn't find any way to control this in the system settings. Any suggestions for keeping it asleep when the main monitor is asleep other than the very inelegant solution of unplugging it? Thank you

I'm wondering how the two monitors are connected.

If the second monitor (the problem monitor) is connected to the Mini's HDMI port, maybe try connecting it to one of the Mini's three Thunderbolt 5 ports (on the back). The Mini's front USB-C ports do not support display connections, I think. Hopefully you have a good cable to test with. I think a Thunderbolt 3 or higher cable should work.

If the problem monitor is connected to the first monitor (daisy-chaining), again, try connecting it directly to one of the Mini's Thunderbolt 5 ports.

See if the problem persists. These might not be good workarounds for you, but maybe the results will help someone more knowledgeable to figure out what's going on.
