As some of us will be in possession of the first preordered 12 pro max’s in less than 12 hours do you have any nagging thoughts about a different color or storage option? In my case I currently have the 12 pro gold and was thinking of moving to graphite for the max but after seeing it again in the stores I wasn’t as enamored by the shade of green in certain lighting. I actually retained my interest in the gold after having it now for two weeks. The gold sides have just the right amount of bling and the subtle champagne 🥂 color on the back was done well so as to make it not too gaudy.

Storage. I was ready to go all in on 128gb but as I was going through the ordering process on Apple.com I saw that it was only a 100$ jump to 256gb. Last year it was 150$ jump from 64gb to 256gb. No way I was going 64 so I spent for the 256. Now I was telling myself that 128 would be enough and I could finally just buy the base and be done with it. But again seeing as how it was only 100$ difference and i am currently halfway through 128 on what I’ve saved(photos, videos, messages) on my phone so far It had to be 256 again. What about you people?

I'm going with Pro Max Silver and 128GB. I was close to trigger the pacific blue due to I like the color, and all my other phones has been silver. The back of the design doesn't look much different between the 12 Pro Max and 11 Pro when both are silver xD
But I did go with silver because overall I like the more snow-like classic color. To be honest, I better like the gold over the graphite. The gold stainless steal just looks better compared to the black one I think.

I use a heck of a lot storage. So far I've 28000 photos and around 2500 videos on my phone. Crazy. But I've started to use iCloud Photo Library with storage optimization due to lack og storage (even on my 256GB phone) and it works very well. So I go with 128GB this time.

I kind of feel stupid for not ordering the 256 GB thinking back. I came from a 64 GB iPhone XS Max so 128 GB for the same price was already like 😍 to my ears but now I realized that the 256 GB one would have only been like 2€ more each month 🤦🏽‍♂️

As a general rule, go lighter with big phones and darker with smaller phones. That way visually everything balances out. I love the gold for the pro/max series. Second choice would be pacific blue. I'm not crazy about graphite, think it's way too conservative.

I was on the fence between pacific blue and the graphite, but went with the graphite so it would match my Apple Watch. My last iPhone was the green, so this is the first time I’ve coordinated the two. Sounds trivial but it’s fun to mix and match sometimes.

As far as storage is concerned, my 11 Pro Max is 64GB but I have over 160GB in my iCloud account, so I’m get alerts sometimes that an app I infrequently use needs to be redownloaded. Photos I want to send or post also need to be redownloaded often, so this time I went with 256GB. It was never a major hassle, so if the price is a concern, going with the less expensive option is not the end of the world.

Our phones always get second lives as hand me downs when we get new phones. So we try to think not only of what we require for storage but also of the next person that will be using them.

Part of me regrets not getting the gold. I waffled on color up until I got submit. Truly I’m being more obsessive than I should be it will be in a case so it doesn’t matter much. I got 256GB and thought maybe I should go up to 512GB since I plan on keeping the phone for longer than I normally do but I can just increase my iCloud storage if I need to and utilize that more.

Agree. I'mm a light user, so I opted for 128. I have iCloud, I might increase storage on my iCloud if/ when needed.
