My Mac Pro is a
2006 Mac Pro running Mavericks
Upgraded Dual X5355 Quad-core 2.66ghz
ATi 5770 Mac Edition driving Dual 20in Apple Displays
Nvidia 7300GT driving single 21in AOC Display

My issue is when I was running Lion the 7300GT worked perfectly but as soon as I went to Mavericks I discovered that it no longer worked. I am wondering what the solution would be? I had read somewhere that Mavericks doesn't like mixed cards i.e. ATi and Nvidia.

Mavericks doesn't like 7300GT - lacks 64-bit driver for it. That's why card has only 9MB RAM in system profiler and no QE/CI.

Since you are using the Radeon 5770HD, perhaps a second 5770HD like PC flashed is cheap. A friend of mine told me to use the same brand of GPUs to avoid compatibllity issues. Radeon with another Radeon brand. Avoid Radeon 2600XT as it's not a durable card. Other choices would be PC flashed Radeon 4870 or 5850 but this uses two 6 pin power cables. You will need a Y-splitter power cable. As far as I know they will work with a 2006 1.1 Mac Pro.
