    Hi

I am looking to purchase a secondary display for my 20" iMac. I am also planning on purchasing a macbook (for which the display will also be used).

I need it for opening multiple documents at once for reviewing.

I am looking for some advice on a non-apple display. It will be used for opening PDF's, word doc's and excel files and that's pretty much it.

    Thanks!

Then almost every display on the market, from 17" to 30" is sufficient, as you don't need any special panels or other equipment (except the appropriate adapters).

There are some 20" displays for 150€, and even some 24" displays for less than 200€.

Depending on the country you live in, you can use online retailers for looking at prices and specs.
