About a week after the 2.2 update, I noticed something interesting. I have a couple regular mailboxes besides my inbox, and what I did is use rules to direct some of my mail there because my inbox was too cluttered and smartboxes of course just copy, they don't move the messages. But when I check my mail on my touch and I get new messages, it doesn't obey the rules. But like I said, about a week after 2.2, they started sorting themselves as they came in on my touch. Also, in case no one noticed because I never heard anyone mention it and it's kinda tucked away, in mail preferences you can set a signature now.
