I have a backscreen shield on my iphone5, is it ok I install vz-grip or the suede on the backshield? ANyone tried that?

I installed mine on top of sticker boy clear screen shield. no problems so far.

How bout removing it, wondering will the backshield come off together.

Just finish installing glas.tr and button on my new iphone5. rash guard, necessary? without it will it scratch the edge?

What docks are you guys using with the Sectors?

Haven't tried.

Can you use the case without the backshield? Are there any problems with that setup:confused:

Of cos you can.

I plan on using the Sector 5 with Sticker boy side wraps but I am worried that that combination will leave the chamfered edges susceptible to scratches. Has anyone tried using the rash guards (which cover the chamfered edges) with the Sticker boy side wraps over it?

i really like the sector 5 case. It is very excessive as all I wanted was an apple bumper like they made for the iphone 4/4s and I stumbled across this thread and really liked the way the first edition case looked. I've had the case for about a month now and the case is showing wear on the back which stinks but I'm OK with it. I do have the black rash guards on the phone to protect the chamfered edges and the rest of the edge of the phone. How many people are using just the sector 5 on the iphone without the rash guard or another type of skin around the edge? Have you taked the case off to see if the phone has been scratched or damaged by the case? I know there is felt in there to prevent this but it doesn't mean it won't happen and I'm a little to paranoid to try without the rash guards which I think takes away from the style of the case. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post pics of the wear? What type of use do you subject the case to that is wearing it down so quickly?

I've had the case for a couple of days now and I love it. Is it expensive and outlandish? Yes. Is it an awesome quality bumper with great look and feel? Yes. The construction feels rock solid and I actually like the way the phone feels in my hand vs. no case. It adds just the slightest amount of weight which I actually like as well.

I got the First Edition Sector 5 which comes with rash guards in black and silver. I went a day or so without the rash guards and saw no sign of scratching - but again I had the case on for only a short time. I did end up deciding to put the rash guard on just to be safe. The black rash guard is very subtle and unless you're staring straight into the sides to see the buttons you can't really tell they are there. I don't think it takes away from the look at all.

Got mine installed.

Aluminium button first, hinge method for Glas.tr in steamy bathroom
Misaligned to bottom left, the steam cause the cello tape to lose it stickiness.

Rashguard installed, just wonder why there isn't the piece for bottom part, it should had include.

Really hard to remove the link, after I installed I want to remove to adjust the rash guard, while i remove the link i remove part of the backshield too.

post a teaser more to come tomorrow, it's 6am here.

Can I buy only the backplanes ? I went to element site and can't seem to find .
I want to order some new leather/fabric backplanes
Thanks

Iam planning on selling my Sector 5 First Edition. Its new without scratches etc.
The thing is, why am I doing this? Its because the headphone jacket for my new pair of M50 headphones are not compatible with these.

Iam really sad I have to do this but I actually prefer music, alot.

Have you considered a short male to female headphone extension cable? For example: Switcheasy provides them with some of their cases for this exact purpose. They are small enough to fit the Sector 5 case. Try a google search for something similar.

Actually I have thought of this but that only makes the whole thing longer - again - its long as it is. But sure, I could reconsider.

Are you sure theres no audio quality loss?

It will only add 3 inches and no, there shouldn't be any loss.

Try something like this : http://www.radtech.us/Products/procable-shortz-audio-extender.aspx

Got my Sector 5 yesterday. I think I'm going to return it. For a case this expensive, I expected it to be a little more "polished".

See the felt lining bulging out three corners.
