Secure Erase progress bar

I try to securely erase big hard drive and Disk Utility in Tiger says

Secure Erase. Pass 1 of 7. Estimated time 123 hours

Is this progress bar only for erase 1/7 or for all 7 passes (1-7/7)?

The progress bar is just there to make users happy. It's use for judging progress is quite limited.

Erasing a large hard drive with 7-pass could take a very long time.
