So, now I have a lovely iMac keeping my big apps happy, my PowerBook has now become my truly portable friend. I just keep it under my bed now or just left in my carry bag. Thought about kicking up the security so if the machine was ever lost and somebody found it they'd think "crap! MI6 laptop! it's metal too!!!". I've ticked virtually every box in the Security settings page in 10.4, turned on Filevault etc... It feels really secure now. Though as some guy in Spooks said - Security is in the mind. Unfortunately I can't keep my Photoshop documents in there.

Anyone else do this? I mean I can't see anything negative so far... I can't share my home folder with a Windows PC which has no impact on me. no slow down either.

I've lost the point of this  Think I just feel happy in safety :)

If I was you, I'd backup your stuff and turn Filevault off, I've heard too many bad things on these forums.
