I’ve had this issue for a good week now and it’s frustrating. But it only happen on my iPhone not mac. I’ve restarted every hub (turned all 6 of them off for half an hour) to no avail. I don’t want to sign out of iCloud as it’s a pita setting it back up especially when people said it didn’t fix anything.

Hope it is fixed in 15.3 or something sooner. I’ve noticed my thermostats are all wrong too on my iPhone but correct on mac. So weird. I tried deleting the bridge for them and reading all the thermostats, but still wrong on iPhone.

Yep, my iPhone thumbnails — combo of different HKSV cams and Logitech doorbell — in Home app have been unchanged for weeks. iPad and Mac unaffected and updating. Clearly some server side issue but honestly I wonder who doesn‘t have this issue and what the explanation is. Fingers crossed for a fix soon.

Since when is signing out of an account
Tedious?
Are the staff writers that incompetent they can’t slick sign out. Enter a password. Continue sign out.

Then sign back in

All without having to reconfigure ****?

They are trying to make the work arounds sound a lot worse than it really is. Like cmon

It can take up to 1-2 mins in a device if that for the entire process of signing out and back in.
Are you serious? Logging out of iCloud is like brain surgery for an iPhone

It takes forever, many apps are affected, data gets deleted and needs to be redownloaded when logging in, apps have to reinitialize and resync…

I have done this a couple of times and it was hell. It took two days to get my Notes back to sync.

Anyway, why bother if it doesn’t fix the issue.

My video thumbnails haven’t updated for two weeks. I’ll just wait it out.

A bit off topic, but how does one see recorded videos? I have this camera and set it to record footage when I’m not in and motion is recorded, but I have no idea of where the video would be recorded. It says on the home app, but where? I even tried to trigger the lights remotely to trick it into thinking there was some motion, but I don’t think it recorded anything.

The bottom of the camera feed screen should have a scrollable timeline. See the red outlined portion at the bottom. Ignore the UPS man delivering my package.

I’ve been having major problems with HomeKit cameras for months. Recently I’ve had this issue too (last week or so).

Longer term I’ve had problems with navigating to historic clips or even just opening the camera feeds.

Elsewhere my home apps (on all devices, Mac, iPhone, iPad) will hang for long periods. On Mac I can see that during this time the homed process is using ~100% CPU. It does this for about 30-60mins. Then, once it calms down, things come back to life.

Whilst this is occurring, other devices work fine. It is really weird.

During an assumed similar period on my iPhone (where home app was unresponsive), I could adjust my Ikea lights using the Ikea app but not the home app. So the lights were connected fine. The problem was an issue with the app / HomeKit. But during this homed / home app freak out, the lights could be controlled from another device that wasn’t freaking out at the time.

Apple has some major problems on their hands with home / HomeKit / HomeKit secure video. I wish they’d sort them out. Some of these issues have been kicking about for well over a year.

Interesting. I definitely don’t have that. Maybe it never recorded anything?
I had this issue initially and had to turn recording (and basically all the other switches in settings for the cameras) on/off several times. Suddenly it started recording.

Once in a while my Logitech circle will go offline or just stop recording (light will change from red to blue) and I have to redo the whole thing

I would be glad if my Circle View 2 would work properly in HKSV- constantly getting “no Response” messages in the HomeKit app after 1-2 days and only unplugging the camera would work… not so much a security camera/ system in my eyes…

Noticed this a few days ago and thought it was just a bug on my end. The home App could definitely use a makeover but more importantly the Logitech CircleView Camera could use a firmware upgrade to fix various bugs and sporadic disconnections it suffers at random which require manual power switch resets to reconnect. Only a lack of alternative HomeKit-supporting security cameras has stopped me returning it to the Apple store.
I have my main HKSV cameras plugged into HomeKit power points for this very reason.
I shouldn't have to.

Slightly funny they use a pic of the worst camera ever. Constant goes off line and needs to be rebooted. I’ll stick to my nest cams with HomeBridge. The hime kit recording stinks it’s only what thinks is motion my nest I get 24/7 recording.

I’ve been noticing this but thought it was because I’m using Nest cameras and a Starling. I primarily use the Nest app to view them anyway but I don’t really like how the Home app still displays “now” even though it isn’t. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.

Unfortunately I am slowly moving away from homekit. I found lack of integration and numerous bugs to be the biggest issue. The fault is not on the side of Apple here but third party companies most of the time. HomeKit starting to feel like Windows laptop in the 2000s. Made out of multiple parts with poor integration between hardware and software. This is where MacBooks started to shine. Apple again is missing out in my opinion. They should come out with their own smart devices that "Just Work." HomeKit UI for camera integration needs to be redone too.

I noticed this yesterday, but doesn’t really bother me. I finally have HomeKit running flawlessly and not gonna mess with it. Have probably 150 devices counting all the door/window sensors on alarm and setup took forever. HomeKit has been bullet proof since Abode pushed latest update to fix HomeKit. Absolutely love it. Arlo+Lutron+Abode+August+MyQ is best setup I’ve found.

Had the issue and fixed it buy logging out of iCloud

I had forgotten what a royal PITA this is. Not only adding cards back into phone and watch wallets but also having to switch iCloud Photos back on

Cards on the watch refused to add for many attempts and I noticed Photos are still not synchronising properly across some devices

Just checked my Logitech Circle View doorbell camera and it is working properly. I'm also able to scroll back through the past couple of weeks and all recorded events are there and can be viewed. this issue does not seem to have affected me.

I spent a few hours taking down my Christmas lights. The damn cameras thumbnails still show the decorations on the house 3 days later. All that work for NOTHING. LOL

I removed and re- added the two EUFY cameras and Logitech doorbell. It seems like the thumbnails are correct for now. Just waiting for it to show all my decorations and snow again randomly in the summer.

I'm also having this problem. I'm getting tired and frustrated with Apple HomeKit. I invested quite a lot of money on a system that is not reliable at all. Homepod mini, makes things eve worst (when they become home bridge problems starts to happen).

I can only imagine that Tim Cook and other top managers at apple don't use apple HomeKit at all! What do they use instead? Alexa? Google home? Or do they have employees to turn their lights on and off?
