This is nothing new. You can do the exact same thing with the pre-Siri voice control.

Exactly. How did you guys think making a hands free call in your car was going to work? If you have to pick up your phone and type in a passcode, it is not very hands free. Works the same with the current voice control app in my 3GS.

Yes, but they added the option to disable it in Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Voice Dial

Siri has the exact same option.

In other words, nothing new here.
