Security Update 2019-004 PULLED from Apple Downloads

This update showed up today on my machine. I installed it and my boot freezes before the desktop shows up. I repaired the disk, but no changes. I think I have to re-install the OS.

Same problem here on a 2011 MacBook Pro 17”. Had to restore from backup, download installer package manually and try again - success the second attempt.
 
I had waited a week or ten days, and finally decided to go ahead and install it for the second time. Now it has shown up for a THIRD time!!! This is ridiculous!
 
Decided to go for it. Early 2011 MPB 15". This time, machine restarted MULTIPLE times. It looks like it finally "took". Hopefully done with this one. Now says Ver 17G8030.

The only thing I can figure is that it did NOT properly or fully install, so kept reappearing. This install today was MUCH more involved, with multiple restarts. Hopefully this one worked.
 
So what is the final verdict with Security update 2019-004 on High Sierra? I'm particularly interested how it has been for cMP 5,1 users? I've read about some wake from sleep issues causing kernel panics so I've held off. Hoping Apple sorted this out when they reissued the security update. Please give me the go ahead if it's all good now.
