MP 1,1-5,1 Security update failed and broke OpenCore

I’m running RefindPlus and OpenCore chainload. Its configured so when I choose OpenCore in RefindPlus is goes straight past the OpenCore GUI and into the booting screen.

I ran the latest security update from Software Update without thinking about it, and now OpenCore fails to boot and kicks me into a recovery mode type error log every time.

I can thankfully still boot normally if I choose the regular macOS disk with RefindPlus, but the update has not been installed.

What happened here and how do I fix it?

Resetting the PRAM did nothing.
