I will be loading bootcamp and windows tonight. I need a security solution and the free AVG was recommended to me. I downloaded it in windows I (it was an .exe file) and I plan to burn this file to CD. Once I am up and running in windows I will load the CD and install the AVG security file. Will this work. I know nothing about windows. Also, is theis good free security software? And can someone link me to some free anti-spyware software that I should use?

windows setup files are .exe files - that stands for executable - as in you executing the command (or something like that). so, yes, it will work.

from what i understand, AVG is good and free. i would also recommend ad-aware. i've heard good things about windows defender, but it is still a beta, so it probably has some bugs. both ad-aware and windows defender are free.
