Ok here goes. I ordered the SS Gold but was sent the SS Silver instead. Of course I was disappointed. But just for the heck of it I put one of my black bands on the SS silver 44mm oh man nice. I can return it of course and wait for the gold. But the silver looked good.

In the end I may wait for the gold but the silver did look good.

Thanks

OK, totally IMHO/YMMV...

I think the gold looks bling-y. ->YMMV<-

I also think that the plain SS looks smaller than any of the other AW versions, including the GSS. To me, the way the case reflects light makes it almost disappear. It's sort of magical - my opinion, again.

It's your watch - definitely do what you think makes YOU happy!

The gold is nice that’s what made me want to get the new watch in the first place this band would look good on silver

Which iphone do you have?
My Silver SS matches my iPhone x silver/white perfect.

Pros for silver SS:
- scratches kann get buffed out no matter how deep they are.
- nearly all bands looks nice on it, for example link bracelet and milanaise.
- silver is more neutral than gold.

The x space black

Silver is much more versatile and looks great with most bands. But if you wanted the gold, may as well wait and get what you wanted.

I fell in love with the silver with my black band. I was going to get the silver with my first watch but I asked my son which one I should get he said go with Space Blk because it looks better. Maybe I will test drive it for a couple of days. But the argument for silver is very good

I would get what you want. I never cared for the flashiness of the silver. Gold would be different and interesting however I’m not sure how durable the finish is. I don’t think it has the DLC like the Space Black so that may make it less durable. My main reason going stainless was for the durability of the case and screen which have held up perfectly for me.

The gold has the PVD coating which is pretty durable not as good as the DLC but good. But u are right u can buff out scratches with the silver

One thing I can say is that one of my most favorite analog watches was silver with gold strips going inside the band a white face with gold digits

Silver is the most versatile color for bands. Bit it’s your watch. Get what you like.

If you like the gold, that’s what I would opt for. It really depends on what you find the most appealing.

That band with those thin gold strips are nice
However the band with the gold watch is nice as well. I’m just going to get off my rear and go to the Apple store today.
One thing I’m gonna text drive it and see if I even like having that size on my wrist all day
Thanks all

So I went to the apple store.
Gonna give the silver a try as I did like
the contrast. On me the gold because it
has a copper hue seems to wash out.
Thoughts please

Alway had Silver SS from Series 0 onwards apart from when i had a ceramic white. Love the SS, but went for Space Black SS this time to match my phone. All the SS watches look good. Your money, your choice.

Sticking with the silver can someone tell what cloth you use to buff out the scratches please. Thanks

Looks like you made your choice which is great, congrats! I think both of them look great on your wrist. I'm a long time SS guy when it comes to watches and typically prefer those over any gold but man this year's AW gold looks great to me.

Cape Cod Cloth has long been a go to polishing cloth to remove scratches & swirls on watch cases. It's a great product.

The gold does look great but some gold ones have already scratched. If I got one an it did I would be miffed. Besides if I really want gold there are options thanks
Couple of bands I will be buying next week
