Now just need an iPad mini 2 with these internals to do it justice. One day I will stop dreaming!

I have to say that mobile games for me is all about killing time while commuting, on tube/bus. These games do the job well, anything to in depth I wouldn't be able to play on the move...so I'd be at home...so why not play a console game

Welp, we have officially hit console quality graphics and yet what kind of games do we get with that power? A game where you stand in one place and play fruit ninja until the bad guy dies. Can you imagine games like uncharted or gears of war on an iPhone? I know those specifically will never happen, but an iPhone exclusive like those of the same quality.

I think apple has a real chance to turn iPhone and iPad into a huge gaming platform. Not that it isn't already, but one where you buy an iPhone because you want "that awesome game". Up the screen size of the iPhone and make a huge splash with a real gaming controller that attaches to the phone, get some console quality exclusives and you've got a real thing on your hands. Maybe even have their own gaming division/studio. Remember when people did a double take at the idea of Microsoft having a game console? I can imagine apple doing the same

Consistently crashes on 5S

After seeing Cook & Co. gush about Infinity Blade 3, I figured I could spend $7 and see what all the hype was about. Big mistake. The game crashes consistently on my new 5S. I should have read the App Store reviews, as this seems to be a pretty common occurrence.

That looks nice idea but I do not think Apple is going to be interested though. If I am not wrong, Cook proclaimed that Apple is going to produce a console any time soon. You might remember as well, anyway. Also size of iPhone or either iPad is as satisfying as tv screen size. So, as a portable game console, those are one of best

Fun game, but I would like less 'on-the-rails' gameplay -- not asking for a fully open world as I don't really want a 6GB game, but a few different paths and maps would be nice.
Hopefully when the MFI Game Controllers come out, From Software will bring DARK SOULS to iPad. That's what Infinity Blade wants to be... it's coming off more like Killer Instinct. For $7, it seems worth it though.

Yeah, I do still enjoy it. Even though I'm still a bit lost about potions, all these gems and the 'Collect' things I press to get white squares...

Did nobody like or does nobody remember the iOS game "Horn"?

It's not as visually impressive as Infinity Blade -- it seems like Playstation2 level graphics. But more importantly, it's pretty similar to IB in fighting style, but with a lot more free-roaming and extra stuff to do.

I'm not too big on gaming, so I probably only got about a quarter way through the story. But it seemed pretty impressive and entertaining. I'll probably go back to it at some point.

I haven't played many story-driven console-type games since PS1&2, but this kind of reminded me of that style and I was impressed. I'm surprised it doesn't get mentioned more often.

It keeps crashing after a short period of playing on my iPhone 5s.

Same issue here. On my iPhone 5 this game ran flawlessly on iOS 7.0. Played for 3hrs in total and not a single crash. But on the iPhone 5s with iOS 7.0.1 it's crashing a lot, around 5 times in the last 40mins. It might crash during a fight, loading a level or if the game is sitting idle. Seems to be a serous bug somewhere. Other than that it runs very nicely.

Why does iOS game development have to be so superficial? I want something on par with the story/gameplay ambition of console games, even if it's just like my old ps2 games. Though I suppose the input method and screen size are limiting factors in the development. But I mean, look at angry birds for instance. Congrats you made a game that entertains people and sells to millions, but it's a simple physics based game with modifiers that people are playing just to fulfill their need for sensory stimuli. I want something to actually be immersed in... //endrant

Sounds like the iDevice formula..lol

Except Apple reskinned new hardware. Perhaps you'd be happy with my 4? Oh, and some significant software changes, for better or worse. And they changed the screen size last year, for better or worse. The only thing truly rehashed here is your opinion.

PlayStation Vita is for you then.

It looks good but crashes all the time on the iphone 5s. I assume this is due to 64bit as it runs smooth as butter with less graphical detail on the iPhone 5 32bit. It Needs to be fixed ASAP. I also would assume it wouldn't be crashing constantly if it just ran in 32bit on the iP5s. I installed infinity blade 2 and it ran just fine with no crashing.

That's not what I meant. Apple wouldn't need its own dedicated console anyway. In theory, everyone could just buy an iPhone or iPad and airplay that ****. What I meant was apple taking gaming seriously and releasing official controllers and having their own game studio to encourage high end exclusives similar to gears of war and uncharted. That would be amazing

I got part 1 and 2 at some point when they were (may still be) free. Gave a try on the 5S tonight. It's actually not a half bad game.
