Those guys get a 1hr timeout since it was their first offense?I saw all those and dealt with it about three hours ago, and only just now saw your posts here.
When you see spam, please report it (as some of you did) and we'll get on it. If you see spam and you are thinking maybe somebody else already reported it, just go ahead and report it anyway. Multiple reports don't cause us extra work at all.
Hope everybody has a good weekend.
Yeah... they promised to be really good from now on.Those guys get a 1hr timeout since it was their first offense?
Just keep on pounding that report button!Seeing a lot of spam today (have reported the ones I have come across) but they do seem to be more of them than usual.
Just keep on pounding that report button!
The help is appreciated.
It was worst the day this thread started. If like me you use the new post button I think it was the first 3-4 pages were just spam and the forum was slow as hell.My pleasure; normally, I come across one or two every few weeks; today, (and yesterday, I think), I was surprised to encounter quite a few.
Anyway, if ever I see them, I report them immediately.

I blame El Niño.Sometimes, inexplicably - I don't know what may prompt it - but there seems to be a sudden tsunami of spam.
Then, it sort of dies off.
I think this week I've reported more than in the past several months. My pleasure; normally, I come across one or two every few weeks; today, (and yesterday, I think), I was surprised to encounter quite a few.

One would think that simply filtering titles or posts made mostly of foreign characters woundnt be too difficult.Looks like a Chinese diploma mill. I'm guessing they post here for some secondary effect. Increasing their pagerank?
I would think it wouldn't be too hard to set up a filter for these posts, if the forum software supports it.
