Since we now know, that Apple Watch is to be sold in selected stores like Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Isetan in Tokio, Selfridges in London, and "The Corner" in Berlin are you guys going to try to get one?

I talked to the guys from the German store "The Corner" in Berlin.
They told me they will have plenty of watches and they believe I could get one throughout the whole weekend. I really don't believe them.

I'm actually expecting a real long queue, since there are only 4 or 5 stores worldwide selling the watch in stores on the 24th.

What do you think about it?
Isn't it strange for Apple to 'betray' their die hard fans, and sell the watches at these fashion stores? ( I get the idea, but why do WE have to wait)
Are you giving it a try? Especially interesting if your order is going to ship in June.

I know, but she is talking about the Apple stores.
These fashion stores seem to be the few exceptions.

There is also their website, that states "in stores April 24th"
http://www.thecornerberlin.de

And as I said before. I talked to them today. They said they will have apple watches To buy in their store on Friday . The only question is how many will they have.

They also told me they will have 9 different models (don't know if they distinguish between 38mm and 42mm)
And no reservations allowed.

Wow that's crazy.. I wonder if there are any stores in the U.S. that might be selling watches on Friday.

EDIT: Found an article that states that the Apple Watch will be sold at boutiques on April 24th
http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2015/04/10/how-to-pre-order-apple-watch/25591989/
Also on April 24, the Apple Watch will become available at boutiques in major cities around the world, including Colette in Paris, Dover Street Market in London and Tokyo, Maxfield in Los Angeles and The Corner in Berlin, and select Apple Authorized Resellers in China and Japan, according to Apple.

Maxfield LA store website confirms.

This is not true for Japan. I spoke to the staff at Isetan Shinjuku apple watch store and they confirmed that sales are through online orders only. So if you are in Japan, don't waste your time!

So how can I find out which stores sell them?

It's not any more "strange" than Apple giving out hundreds of watches to celebrities before they are even on sale.

Apple knows their "die hard" fans don't need any convincing, we are going to buy the watch no matter what, so why should they care about us?

Or..................
(wait for it)............

Most of us don't have an extra $15,000 to take to one of these jewelry stores and buy a watch that we will almost certainly wish to buy again next year... so all of the manufactured outrage over those particular models (Edition) perhaps being offered in a very few jewelry stores prior to Sport being available en masse at your local Apple Store are fairly meaningless, don't you think?

About isetan, sorry, didn't know it was an Apple Store for watches. It was just listed on the apple site alongside with the other ones.
The corner in Berlin, definitely isn't an Apple Store.

Since the thought of having a chance to get one is making me crazy, I just called them again.
They had new information:

1. they are the one and only store in Germany to sell the watches on Friday
2. They will have the Apple Watch Sport Silver (38+42mm) with blue and white band, the sport in space grey with black band and the Normal Apple Watch (didn't tell me which bands).
3. They will also sell the edition, but they don't jnow for sure if they will get it by Friday.
4 he also told me, biggest chance to get a watch is to get there early on Friday. Apple itself, he told me, is not making any advertisement for the store, so by now only few people know about it. By next week obviously more and more people will know about it an chances are getting lower. ( why am I actuallx making this public? :D )
5. Once the watches are sold, they will get more. He told me they are exclusive partners and stock will be refreshed and they won't have to wait until June to get more watches

This is really freaking me out, and I will probably make a trip to Berlin.

I hope you guys find a store near you that also sells the watches.
I know this sounds crazy, but it's true.

Just called the Apple Watch store in Selfridges London and was told there won't be any on sale this Friday.

I'll be there. I called and they said they'll be carrying Sport, SS, and Edition but said they were "not briefed on how many they'll be offering for sale". They're opening 9AM, said to expect a bit of a line, and that it's first come first serve.

I work a few blocks from Maxfield so I'm going to head there around 5-6AM and see what the situation looks like.

So it comes down to this ...

One chat agent said the watches will be in stores tomorrow but he wasn't sure, he said tomorrow is the release date so some stores should have them in stock.
