My computer caught some sort of bug in which every 10-15 seconds, the window I am working in deselects itself. It started this morning when I woke up my computer from hibernation. Pretty annoying, especially when typing.

It's almost as if there is a process or application that launches over the window, but I have no idea how to find it. Perhaps it's a strange spyware I picked up. However, I don't remember knowingly downloading any strange files.

I have already repaired permissions and rebooted several times.

I decided to stare at the activity monitor and looked at the processes that became activated when this event happens, and it was always launchd(1), and sometimes mds, loginworker and mdworker.

Any ideas on how to solve this idea? I have a macbook with OS X 10.5.7

Check if you installed a preference pane named Stuffit AVR at some point. Turn it off.
