Selective downloads in Transmission

    the new Transmission nightly has Selective file downloads!!!!

    New in 0.80:

    * Ability to selectively download and prioritize files
    * Torrent file creation
    * Rechecking torrents is now done one torrent at a time to avoid hammering the disk
    * Partial licensing change -- see the LICENSE file for details
    * Fix to UPnP
    * (OS X) Overlay when dragging torrent files onto window
    * (OS X) Ability to set an amount of time to considered a transfer stalled
    * (GTK) Interface significantly reworked to closer match the Mac version
    * (GTK) Torrent inspector
    * Other improvements and bug fixes to both versions

    Nice, I wish you could limit connections as my router can't handle too many and runs really really really slow.

    Argh! Selective downloads window is resizable horizontally only...

    This could have save me a ton of time in the last few months...

    Too bad it doesn't work yet on that large, influential, private music tracker that I will not name. Tracker replies that it requires version .72 or later, so I'm guessing I'll have to wait for the official release to use it. Sadness.

    Also, screw Depthstrike (the tracker umai uses for their Romeo x Juliet fansub releases), they've banned Transmission for life (despite the fixes in announcing) because apparently they thought the devs were snappy? Talk about dorama. :rolleyes:

    Even though it isn't a feature I currently require, it'll be nice to know it's there if I want it :) Good news all around. Huzzah!
