Is there a way to selectively have te iPhone pair with bluetooth devices by default?

I have a bluetooth receiver in my home and in my car. I want it to automatically connect every time i get in the car and only pair with the home receiver when I tell it to (otherwise calls will come in on the big speakers). Can't seem to find a way to disable autoconnect for just one device. The only solution seems to be either

1.having to remember to turn on bluetooth when I get in the car and turning it off before going home

2. Keep bluetooth on, but Every time after I listen to my home bluetooth receiver I go and "forget this device" and then re-pair it next time

Any better solutions out there?

Can you not easily power off the home bluetooth receiver when you're not using it, much as you'd do with a set of bluetooth headphones?

The auto-connect function must be determined by the software on each BT device, because I have a Logitech BT receiver connected to my hifi at home, and my iPhone will only connect to it if I explicitly select it in the BT screen. When I get in my car my iPhone automatically connects to the car via BT.
