JK. We all have our own reasons for and against donating. I have no idea how those forums are run or how busy they are, but MR is very nicely run and part of that is the excellent moderation that goes on here. If we let all posters delete their posts willy-nilly, there might be quotes that lead to nowhere and such. I get the feeling that that would only lead to more problems in the end, so it's fine by me if all members don't have that luxury.
it would be nice though to be able to merger consecutive posts by ourselves. sometimes ill reply then keep reading and reply again making me post 2x in a row
I've seen some boards implement a force merging double post system that'll append your second post to your previous one.
A little annoying but it still does bump the thread.
Then again you can always multi-quote and fast edit.

True, and it'd make my life easier. Do posts still have character limits? What happens if a user needs to make multiple large posts?
I've often hit character limits.
I don't make long posts anymore so I forget what it's set at.
