Depends. Do you have another iPod? The iPod is primarily for music. If you don't have another iPod, you lose that ability to listen to music while working out/jogging. Everywhere that you access internet with your iPod, you will have a better experience with your iPad.
If I was in your situation , and I didn't have another iPod, I would sell the touch, get the iPad, and then get a shuffle for use while working out/jogging.
