About to sell my phone on craigslist. Guys asking for the serial number so that he can verify it's not a fake. Is this safeto give put or how should I go about it? Also how can I find where the phone was made?

Yep, it's 100% safe. No personal identifiable information is provided when they verify the sn through the Apple site.

The worst and only thing that someone can do with a serial number is extend your warranty.
