hello, selling my first mac to buy one of the new pros that just came out. i want to wipe everything off of the mac but keep all of the apps that are currently on it. what would be the best way to go about this?

You'll need to do a clean install of the OS and then re-install the applications you want on it. There is no "wipe-and-preserve-applications" option.

Create a new admin account and log into that. Then delete your old account via System Preferences and then the Home folder via Finder.
Then open Disk Utility and choose ERASE FREE SPACE under the ERASE tab.
ZERO OUT should suffice and will make your deleted data un-recoverable.

DiskWiping – One Pass is Enough

Btw, do you sell all the licenses to the applications you left installed?
If not, then that is illegal.
