Selling a gift card?

This kind of counts under alternatives to Mac, but I refunded my MBP for a £1,954 gift card. Got a 6-core Mac mini with it and intended to use the iPad as a mobile solution but now I'm getting cold feet and am considering just getting my cash back and getting a Surface Pro... I have 7 more days to return the Mac mini to Apple for the credit back.

How can I find a way to get my raw cash back for my gift card, your ideas?

Have you tried the Market Place? I have seen others selling gift cards on there at a minor discount.

Otherwise, why is Apple putting the return on a gift card rather than returning the purchase price to your credit card? Was it purchased by someone else as a gift?

You could try telling them "Look, this can go one of two ways. I am going to keep buying and returning computers every 10-12 days or you could just refund my purchase to my credit card and get rid of me" hahaha. Just kidding... but it might work 🙂
