I sold my G5 on eBay, and now I need to reinstall the OS for the person that bought it. How should I do it so that I don't have to put any of my information? Can I install the OS and just shut it off, like Apple does when they send out a new computer, so when you turn it on you will have to fill in the information about yourself? Can I do it like that?

Reinstall OS X off of the DVD and then when it asks for registration information shut it off. When you turn it back on again it'll play the welcome video and ask for the next user's registration info.

Be sure to secure erase in Disk Utility before you install.

What is secure erase and where is it?
Secure erase "zeroes" the bits so it's harder for a new owner to recover your data. If you trust them it's not an issue, but it's always a good idea to be safe.

Go to Disk Utility. The erase tab should have options for secure formatting. The zero option should be enough.
